The Bella Mae’s Story

Bella Mae’s Tea Co. is named after the maternal and paternal grandmothers of the owner and operator, Karen L. Russell (a sassy tea lady). Karen developed an appreciation for tea at an early age thanks in large part to her beloved grannies, Myrtle Mae and Isabelle. Years passed and Karen never lost that love of tea, instead, she decided to bring tea lovers a bit of comfort, peace, and a sip of nostalgia with her line of unique blends. In 2019, Bella Mae’s Tea Co. was born.
Crafted from the heart, Bella Mae’s Tea Co. focuses on serving up good memories and smiles with every sip. Using herbs, flowers, fruits, spices, and loose-leaf tea, Karen was determined to channel her grandmothers and comfort her customers. After all, tea is good for the mind, body, and soul. Each blend is perfectly handcrafted and has its own story that is inspired by culture, people, and experiences. Bella Mae’s is rooted in the simple sentiment that ‘tea is a sip of nostalgia’.

“I love it when you can actually taste the ingredients in the tea. Especially when you don’t need to add anything extra to it, not even honey! Elderberry, orange peel, ginger?! The combination of this loose leaf tea brings that cheesy grin to your face & that tingly feeling of comfort right before you read a good book or settle into bed. I think I’m going to have to get more of this one. The overall experience of this company has been fantastic so far. I’m very pleased.”
