The idea for Bella Mae’s Tea came to founder Karen Russell one quiet evening, sparked by curiosity and a love for creating something meaningful. As she began researching the world of tea, she came across a tea festival offering a seminar on how to start a tea company. In that moment, she felt a quiet confirmation: this was something she was meant to do.
Named in honor of Karen’s grandmothers, Bella Mae’s Tea is rooted in family memories, love, and the comfort of a good cup of tea. Their warmth, strength, and care continue to inspire the heart of the brand. What began as curiosity became Karen’s way of blending nostalgia, culture, and comfort into every small-batch creation.

“I love it when you can actually taste the ingredients in the tea. Especially when you don’t need to add anything extra to it, not even honey! Elderberry, orange peel, ginger?!
